Coast Guard raids 832 bottles of foreign liquor and 2,052 cans of beer in St. Martin Island on Thursday.
Bangladesh Coast Guard headquarters Media officer Lt. Commander Abdur Rahman confirmed have confirmed this.
On the basis of secret information, a special operation was carried out by BCG Station St. Martin under the command of Lt. Commander Tareq Ahmed in the area adjacent to Chhera dwip of St. Martin under Teknaf Police Station on 24th February 2022 at around 4.30 am.
During the operation, 70 sacks were seized while hiding in the Keya forest in the area. The bags were later searched and 832 bottles of foreign liquor (Grand Royal) and 2052 cans of beer (Andaman) were seized.
He further said, “The seized foreign liquor and beer has been handed over to Teknaf Model Police Station for further legal action.”
