Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has inaugurated a direct cash disbursement program for 50 lakh poor families affected by corona through mobile banking services.
She announced the inauguration of the program through video conferencing from Ganobhaban around 11:30 am on Thursday. At that time, the Prime Minister was directly connected with Kishoreganj district through video conference.
At the other end of the video conference in Kishoreganj, Dr. Syeda Zakia Nur Lipi (Kishoreganj-1) MP, Deputy Commissioner Md. Sarwar Murshed Chowdhury, Police Super Md. Mashrukur Rahman Khaled, Zila Parishad Chairman Advocate Md. Zillur Rahman, Captain 23 Field Reg. Artillery Lt. Colonel Md. Mahabubur Rahman, District Awami League President Adv. Kamrul Ahsan Shahjahan, its General Secretary Adv. MA Afzal, Mayor of Kishoreganj Municipality Md. Parvez Mia, Chairman of Sadar Upazila Parishad Mamun Al Masud Khan, Chairman of Jashodal Union Parishad Imtiaz Uddin Ahmed Rajan, Agent Banking Representative and 5 beneficiaries of Kishoreganj Sadar and Municipality were present.
After the video conference, the guests handed over the gifts of the Prime Minister directly to the beneficiaries. A total of 83 beneficiaries of humanitarian assistance in the entire Kishoreganj received Tk. 2,500 as a gift from the Prime Minister.
It may be mentioned that within the next 18 days, 77 thousand beneficiaries of humanitarian assistance in Kishoreganj district will get Tk. 2,500 as a gift from the Prime Minister directly through their mobile banking.
