8 mounds of guava stolen, orchard trees cut in Jashore

Miscreants have stolen eight mounds of guava from a farmer’s orchard and cut all the trees of the garden at Bhadra village of Chaugachha upazila of Jashore district. The incident took place on Thursday night. 

 The farmer’s orchard was situated on a total of 25 katha of land. The owner of the guava orchard Rezaul Karim has planted 25 katha land of guava orchard in Bhadra village which was cut down and destroyed at night.

Rezaul Karim said that about eight mounds of guava were stolen and the miscreants cut down about 50 guava trees and cool trees. 

He said the trees are 2 years old and huge guavas will be produced after few months. He has suffered a huge loss. ‘‘I have no personal dispute with anyone. Personal anger has not ended such damage to my family,” he said. 

He further said that a GD was lodged with the Chaugachha police station on Friday. Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Chaugachha Police Station Rajib Khan said a complaint was lodged at the police station by farmer Rezaul Karim. 

The complain was about 8 mounds of guavas stolen his guava garden and cutting down about fifty guava trees. Police trying to detained the miscreants.
