A number of eight more persons were tested positive for Covid-19 during the last 24
hours till Thursday raising the total number to 5,637 in Chapainawabganj district, reports BSS.
During the last 24 hours, 339 samples in which 43 samples in RTPCR lab and 296 samples in Rapid Antigen test were tested in the district. Of them, six persons in RTPCR lab test and two in Rapid Antigen Test were detected as positive for COVID-19 showing the infection rate 13.95 and 0.67 percent respectively. The average rate during the 24 hours was 2.35 percent, Civil Surgeon Office sources confirmed.
Among the newly detected patients, seven persons are from sadar upazila and one person is from Shibganj upazila.
Of the total detected patients of the district, 3,233 persons are from sadar upazila, 968 from Shibganj upazila, 694 from Gomostapur upazila, 381 from Nachole upazila and 361 from Bholahat upazila.
A total of 282 patients are undergoing treatment in the district. Of them, 52 patients are getting treatment in dedicated Covid hospital and others at home.
Meanwhile, 145 patients have died of COVID-19 and 5,210 patients have recovered from the disease here, the sources added.
