Police arrested eight terrorists along with 10 bombs, 60 pieces of yaba and one sharp weapon from Kharki area in Jashore town on Tuesday noon. The arrestees were identified as Raja Hossain 18, son of Mujibur of Kharki Kala Bagan area of the town, Rajib Lashkar 18, son of Ajmal Lashkar of Patla village in Terkhadar, Khulna, Swadhin, 18, son of Oliyar Rahman in front of Amtali Primary School in Madaripur, Monir Hossain 26, son of Amri Hossain of Khulna KMP Railway Hospital and Shamim Hossain 18, son of Shahadat Hossain of Ghatakchar village in Madaripur, and some others.
Jashore Kotwali Police Station OC Moniruzzaman said he received a tip-off on Tuesday afternoon that some terrorists were staying in the Kalabagan area for a criminal organization.On the basis of this news; they raided the house of Mujibur Rahman in Kharki Kalabagan and arrested them. Later, 10 bombs, 60 yaba and a weapon were seized from them.
The arrestees committed various crimes including theft, robbery and snatching in different areas under the shelter of Chhota Raja, son of Mujibur of Khadki Kalabagan.
A case has been filed against them at Jashore Kotwali police station.
According to the locals, the arrested terrorists are members of Sagar-Ramadan forces in Khulna area. There are several cases including murder, explosives, theft and snatching against them in different police stations.
