The 7th World Mas-Wrestling (Ethnosport) Championship 2025 kicked off yesterday (Thursday) with a lively opening ceremony in Mongolia’s scenic Arkhangai Province. The global event has drawn over 300 male and female athletes from 33 nations, with Bangladesh proudly among them.
The Bangladesh squad, led by Mr. Al Mamun, President of the International Ethnosport Bangladesh Association and Country Representative of the International Mas-Wrestling Federation, arrived in Mongolia ready to compete on the world stage. Dr. Mohd Haroon Rashid, the Association’s Treasurer, is a key figure in overseeing the team’s operations.
Young talent Rasul Imon will represent Bangladesh in the 70 kg weight category, carrying the nation’s hopes with grit and pride. His participation underscores Bangladesh’s rising profile in global ethnosports.
