The Muksudpur upazila administration in Gopalganj distributed Tin, cash, rice and dry foods as aid among the tornado affected 77 families under the Muksudpur Upazila on Saturday.
Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kazi Mahbubul Alam distributed the relief items at a function held at the Conference Room of the Deputy Commissioner on Saturday evening.
Additional Deputy Commissioner Sheikh Jubayer Ahmed, district Relief and Rehabilitation Officer Md Ashraful Haque, Assistant Commissioner Ranti Das and Union Parishad Chairman Shaymol Kanti Bose were present among others.
A 30-second tornado that struck Kashiani upazila of Gopalganj around 3:30pm on Thursday, caused damage to around 25 business establishments, temples, trees, and electric poles. However, no casualties were reported.
