A cheque distribution function for different patients of Chuadanga district was held in Chuadanga Deputy Commissioner’s Conference Room under the auspices of District Administration and Social Welfare Department on August 19.
The function was presided over by Monira Pervin, ADM while Solaiman Hoque Joarder Selun, MP of Chuadanga-1 constituency was present as chief guest. Munsi Alamgir Hannan, organizing secretary of District Awami League addressed as special guest. Sontos Kumar Nath, Deputy Director of Social Welfare Department spoke at the function.
Solaiman Hoque Joarder Selun, MP of Chuadanga-1 constituency, said at cheque distribution function among different type of patients, the present government has arranged to give 17 types of allowances through social department. You have been getting the allowance properly under the leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. Solaiman Hoque Joarder Selun, MP of Chuadanga-1 constituency distributed cheques for tk. 38, 00,000 among 76 patients of the district. It is learnt a total of 76 patients like cancer, kidney, liver and paralyzed have received cheques for tk. 50,000 each from the guests.
About tk. 38,00,000 of cheques has been distributed among them for treatment. Of the total recipients, at least 12 patients are in Chuadanga Pourasabha area, 17 in Sadar Upazila, 23 in Alamdanga upazila, 16 in Damurhuda upazila and 08 in Jibannagar upazila.
It may be mentioned here that a total of 355 patients received tk. 1, 77,50,000 from the social welfare department of the government up to date.
