75 homeless families to get houses in Sarankhola

75 more landless and homeless families are getting houses with land in the fourth phase in Sarankhola of Bagerhat. On Wednesday, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will officially hand over the houses in Sarankhola like the rest of the country. The houses have been prepared by completing all the activities including the related land documents.

Sarankhola Upazila Executive Officer Noor-i Alam Siddiqui said, "Not a single person will be homeless in Bangladesh" to implement this directive of the Prime Minister, like all the upazilas of the country, Sarankhola will be given houses along with land to the destitute, landless and homeless people. In continuation of this, out of 782 landless and homeless families in Sarankhola, 75 families will be given houses with land in the fourth phase.

Earlier, 226 families were resettled in the first phase of the first, second and third phases. Besides, another 481 landless and homeless families will be rehabilitated.

UNO said that the construction of two-room semi-finished houses for each family on two hundred acres of land has already been completed. Free water storage tank and electricity connection are provided with the house. 

Besides, the land deed has been completed. After the Prime Minister's inauguration, the land deeds and house keys will be handed over. A list of landless people has been going door to door along with the certificate of concerned UP chairmen. 

Besides, the list has been finalized after the government's intelligence agencies reports and the list have been verified by the agencies.
