7-day lockdown begins in Natore

A seven-day lockdown has started in Natore Municipality and Singra Municipality to prevent the spread of Covid-19. The administration took to the field to make the lockdown successful on Wednesday morning.

The district administration and police are working to control public transport and public movement at important intersections in the city. However, people are going out of the house on various excuses. Meanwhile, Dr. Kazi Mizanur Rahman, Civil Surgeon of Natore, said that in the last 24 hours, 88 people were tested for Rapid Estrogen locally and 46 of them came positive. The infection rate is 52 percent.

However, the report of the virology department of Rajshahi Medical College Hospital has not reached yet. Dilip Kumar and Ramzan Ali died at Natore Sadar Hospital due to corona infection. The total number of deaths in the district rose to 30.

Meanwhile, Superintendent of Police (SP) Liton Kumar Saha said that all possible measures have been taken to make the 7-day lockdown a success. In no way will anyone be allowed to violate the rules of this lockdown.

Deputy Commissioner Md Shahriaz said the executive magistrates of the district administration are on the ground to implement the lockdown. Keeping people at home for seven days will greatly reduce the risk of infection.
