7 CoU teachers to go to USA for higher study

Seven teachers of Comilla University will travel to the United States of American for higher study at the beginning of 2021.

Six of these teachers will pursue Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) while another one will study a postgraduate degree, said a press release on Monday.

Teachers seeking PhD degrees are Kamal Hossain Chowdhury, associate professor of Computer Science and Engineering department, Akbar Hossain, assistant professor of English department, Rabia Khatun, assistant professor of Anthropology department, Sumaiya Haque Chandni, assistant professor of Pharmacy department, Sanjida Haque, lecturer of Physics department, Debashis Sen, lecturer of Chemistry department.

Kamal Hossain will pursure his PhD at University of Alabama while Akbar Hossain at University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, Rabia Khatun at Atlantic University in Florida, Sumaiya Haque at Florida State University in Miami Sanjida Haque at the University of Arkansas, and Debashis Sen will pursue his PhD at Florida State University.

Besides, assistant professor Simu Dey of Mass Communication and Journalism department will go to Western Illinois University to pursue a two-year postgraduate degree, according to the release.
