Country's overall employment generation has now become double by exceeding it to 7.11 crore in the last fifteen years due to visionary leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
"Country's overall employment generation has reached 7.11 crore in the last fifteen years and that was almost double compare to the level of 4.73 crore of 2007-08 fiscal,” deputy leader of the parliament Matia Chowdhury recently said.
Taking part in the general discussion on the national budget for 2023-24 fiscal at the Jatiya Sangsad, the ruling party lawmaker said even the size of the GDP also has been increased to four fold compare to the level of 2007-08.
Even the country now has been emerged as 35th economic power in the world economy from the earlier 60th position in 2007-08, she told the parliament with Deputy Speaker Shamsul Huq Tuku in the chair.
