Customs intelligence officials recovered 64 gold bars, weighing over 7.5 kilograms, at Shah Amanat International Airport in Chattogram on Friday night.
However,no one was detained in this connection.
Shah Amanat International Airport's Director Group Captain Taslim Ahmed said acting on a tip-off, members of the Customs Intelligence and Investigation Directorate (CIID) and National Security Intelligence (NSI) in a drive on the flight of Oman Air's WY 311 around 9:45 pm and recovered the gold bars.
Legal action is being taken regarding the matter, he said.
