Sixty two newly infected corona patients have been found in last twenty four hours in Narayanganj till Thursday and with this the total figure reached at 1,475 till now.
No one died from corona infection in 24 hours in the district whereas, 81 corona patients recovered from the virus infection in that time. This is the highest number of people recovering from the infection in Narayanganj in a single day till now.
According to district health department, there are 1,475 Covid-19 patients in Narayanganj. Of which 279 have recovered already while the death toll remains unchanged.
Khanpur 300 bed hospital in the town is providing full treatment to the COVID-19 patients. At the same time Khanpur Corona hospital and a centre in Rupganj upazila are testing samples of corona suspected patients through their full fledged PCR lab in the city.
A private company named Navana Group has provided 5 ventilator machines to the authority of Khanpur hospital. On the other hand, MP from Narayanganj-5 constituency Selim Osman’s better-half Nasrin Osman distributed gift items among 361 physicians, nurses, ward boy and other staffs ahed of Eid-ul-Fitr.
Meanwhile, the district administration has closed two markets named Somobay (Cooperative) Market and Paradise Castle market on Bangabandhu road due to ignoring the health rules instructed by government.
Narayanganj Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Jasimuddin warned all traders and market owners that markets will be shutdown if anyone violates the government directed health rules.
