Sixty one persons were found positive for Covid-19 after testing 196 samples in Colonel Maleque Medical College PCR Lab in last 24 hours till Monday morning, raising the total infections to 9145 in Manikganj district, showing the detection rate 31.12 percent.
Among the newly detected patients, forty five are from Sadar upazila, one from Ghior, two from Harirampur, two from Saturia, eight from Singair and three from Daulatpur, civil surgeon office sources said.
Medical Officer of the civil surgeon office Dr Rounok Mushrafe said 51,772 samples were tested so far in the district and of them 9145 detec
ted positive.
Besides, the number of cured patients from the lethal virus stood at 8,244 in the district, adding that infected 23 are taking treatment at hospitals while 751 are at their respective houses.
The death toll from the virus remains at 127, Dr. Rounok added
