600 train passengers fined

A mobile court by Pakshi railway department fined a total 600 passengers for travelling without tickets in five inter-city trains from Friday morning to Saturday evening. Railway manager of Pakshi Asadul Haque confirmed the matter.

The inter-city trains are Rajshahi-Khulna bound 762 No Sagardari Express, Rajshahi-Khulna bound 716 No Kapotaksha Express, Rajshahi-Goalondo bound 756 No Madhumati Express, Gobra-Rajshahi bound 784 No Tungipara Express and Khulna-Chilahati bound 727 No Rupsha Express. 600 passengers of these trains were fined with Tk1.12 lacs. 

Divisional Commercial Officer (DCO) of Pakshi Railway Division Fuad Hossain Said, five inter-city trains have stoppage at Pakshi Station. Every year, thousands of Muslims participate in the waaj mahfil of Furfura Sharif.  Many of them do not buy tickets during this time. The drive was conducted to stop travelling without ticket. 

Assistant Commercial Officer of Pakshi Railway Department Mojibur Rahman, train ticket examiner (TTE) Abdul Alim Biswas Mithu, Shafiqul Islam, Barkat Ullah, and Al-amin along with other members of Railway Security Division were also present.
