About 600 saplings have been planted along Sheikh Hasina Road in Shibchar upazila in Madaripur on the instructions of Chief Whip of the Jatiya Sangsad Nur-e-Alam Chowdhury MP.
These saplings were planted with the funding of Md. Tofazzel Hossain Tota Khan, Shibchar Municipal AL unit President on Wednesday morning.
The guests planted saplings of different species including Krishnachura, Kanchan, Arjun, Jarul, Neem, Konakchapa, Cherry, Gamari, Akashmani, Kadam, Shil Karai and Mahogany on both sides of Sheikh Hasina Road.
Shibchar Municipal Mayor Awlad Hossain Khan, Acting President of the Upazila Awami League unit Md. A. Latif Mollah, General Secretary Md. Selim and others were present at the time.
