6 lakh children to be fed vitamin A in Ctg

National Vitamin A Plus campaign is set to begin next Saturday (December 11).  In this campaign, 7 lakh 95 thousand 72 children in 15 upazilas of Chittagong will be fed Vitamin-A capsules. 

The information was given at a district-level journalist orientation workshop in the conference room of the Civil Surgeon's Office on Thursday afternoon. 

This year's campaign will run in 600 wards of 200 unions in 15 upazilas. Vitamin A capsules will be given to 90,190 children aged 6 to 11 months and 7,4,882 children aged 12 to 59 months.

Civil Surgeon Dr. Elias Chowdhury said, "We have taken all kinds of measures for the Vitamin A Plus campaign."  Our activities will continue for 4 days in compliance with the health rules. 

The workshop was chaired by Dr Asif Khan, Deputy Civil Surgeon.  Dr. Nurul Haider, Health Supervisor Sujan Barua were present.
