6 Indian nationals arrested with 64 kg of hilsa in Benapole

Police have arrested 6 Indian nationals along with 64 kg of Hilsa fish, while smuggled to India through Benapole Checkpost on  Friday night. They were arrested beside Lal Mia Super Market at Benapole.  The arrestees were Shantanu Das (29), Biplob Biswas (30), Tarek Haldar (25), Dibbendu Sarkar (33), Mithun Biswas (25) and Bikash Roy (42). 

The houses of all the arrestees  are located at Bongaon police station in North 24 Parganas district of West Bengal, India. Benapole Port Police Officer in charge Mamun Khan said that the police arrested 6 Indian nationals, with 64 kg of Hilsa fish while being smuggled to India.  The accused were handed over to Jashore court on Saturday afternoon.
