Detective Branch (DB) of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) in an anti-drug drive arrested six people along with crystal meth, also known as ice and yaba tablets from city's Motijheel area on Friday afternoon.
The arrestees are Hossain Mohammad Babu alias Babul, SM Khabir Uddin, Ikhtiar Chowdhury alias Shuvo, Tofail alias Topel Chakma, Md Mizanur Rahman and Sadekul Islam.

Assistant Commissioner (AC) of DB Wari division Md Shamsul Islam confirmed the matter. Acting on a tip-off, he along with his team raided the area and arrested them with the drugs ice and yaba tablets from Fakirapul Road area of Motijheel police station, the Asst Commissioner of DB said.
Some 250 grams of ice (crystal meth) and 800 pieces of yaba tablets were seized from their possession.
A case has been filed with Motijheel police station in this regard, he said.
