6 arrested in Sirajganj with goods stolen from police car

After official work in Dhaka, on the way back to Sonatala police station in Bogura, the robbers stopped the car on the west bank of Bangabandhu Bridge and took away police handcuffs, walkie-talkies, police uniforms, mobile phones and cash and escaped. Police have arrested 6 robbers involved in the incident.

Meanwhile, the lost property of the police has been recovered. Also, two Burmese knives and a chapati used in the robbery were recovered.

Police Superintendent Arifur Islam Mandal BPM (Bar) informed this information in a press conference at Sirajganj Police Super Office on Sunday afternoon.

The arrested dacoit members are Tushar Ahmed alias Yusuf Khan (22) son of Abdul Latif Khan of Raipur North Para in Sadar Upazila, Wazed Ali (34) son of deceased Nuru Miyar of Chandidasganti village, Char-Malshapara.

Abdul Latif Khan (21) son of Jahangir Alam of Mahalla, Inamul Haque Ashiq (19) son of Babu Kashai of Purb Mohanpur village, Abdul Motabel Hossain (26) son of Kismat Ali Sheikh of Sayadhangarh Mohalla, Fatik Sokhel (26) of Chak Sialkol village deceased. .

The police superintendent said that after the rescue of Victim Rudamila Akhter Risha of Sonatla Police Station in Bogra, the Bangabandhu Bridge arrived at Koda area on the west side of the west on October 12 last night. They were arrested in raids at different places in Sirajganj and Gazipur of Dhaka.

The police super said that they are committing robberies in different places of the district under the leadership of Tushar, the leader of the bandit group. Preparations are underway to send the accused to Jail Haja through court.
