6,558 candidates pass 45th BCS written test

The Bangladesh Public Service Commission (PSC) has announced the results of the 45th BCS written examination, with a total of 6,558 candidates qualifying for the next stage. The results were published on the PSC website on Wednesday night.

A notification from the commission said the written examinations were held in eight divisional cities, including Dhaka, from January 23 to January 31 this year. The successful candidates will now be called for the viva voce, the final step in the competitive recruitment process.

Earlier, the PSC had issued the circular for the 45th BCS on November 30, 2022. Following that, the preliminary examination was conducted and its results were published on June 6, 2024. A total of 12,789 candidates had cleared the preliminary test to qualify for the written stage.

The 45th BCS examination was held to recruit candidates for various cadres, including administration, police, foreign affairs, education, and others. Thousands of aspirants from across the country took part in the highly competitive exam, hoping to secure a prestigious government job.

The PSC has advised the successful candidates to regularly check its official website for updates regarding the viva voce schedule and related instructions.

The BCS is one of the most sought-after competitive examinations in Bangladesh, attracting a large number of applicants every year from diverse academic backgrounds.
