Around 6,035 dengue patients are undergoing treatment at different hospitals and clinics across the country, reports BSS. Among them, 3,411 patients are taking treatment in Dhaka division while 2,624 are hospitalised outside of the capital, a release of Health Crisis Management and Control Room of Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) said on Friday.
A total of 61,038 patients got admitted to the different hospitals across the country since January this year. Of them, 54,956 patients have returned home after recovery, the DGHS said. According to the DGHS, 47 people have so far died from the mosquito-borne disease.
