5th BPO Conference from July 22

The Fifth BPO Conference 2023 is set to commence on July 22 after a three-year hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The two-day conference, focused on Bangladesh's outsourcing sector, is being organized by the Bangladesh Association of Contact Center and Outsourcing (BACCO) at Hotel Intercontinental in the capital city.

During a press conference held at the BACCO office in Banani, BACCO President Wahid Sharif and General Secretary Tawhid Hossain announced the details of the conference. Members of the BACCO executive committee were also present at the press conference. The main theme of this year's BPO conference has been designated as ‘Sourcing Beyond Borders,’ as revealed by BACCO leaders. Over the course of the two-day event, nine seminars will be conducted, featuring domestic and international experts as speakers.  The conference will be inaugurated by the Speaker of the National Parliament Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury, who will serve as the chief guest.

 The opening ceremony will be presided over by Zunaid Ahmed Palak, the Minister of State for Information and Communication Technology (ICT). The closing ceremony on July 23 will be attended by Mustafa Jabbar, the Minister of Post and Telecommunication, as the chief guest.

According to the information shared at the press conference, the BPO conference will shed light on the challenges and strategies necessary to achieve the target of creating 100,000 jobs by 2025, generating $1 billion in revenue, and fostering the transformation of skilled professionals into entrepreneurs.
