57,856 Bangladeshis allowed to perform Hajj this year

State Minister for Religion Affairs Md Farid Haque Khan has said that 57,856 people from Bangladesh will be able to perform Hajj this year. This decision of taking the pilgrims was confirmed by the government of Saudi Arabia.

The state minister said this while addressing a discussion, iftar and doa mahfil at Islampur in Jamalpur on Wednesday.

The state minister said no other government in the past has done so much development work for the country as the government of Sheikh Hasina has done.

He also said, “If the leaders and workers of Bangladesh Awami League and its affiliated organisations are united then the country will go forward under the leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. To this end, we have to be more united.”

The state minister said the party leaders and workers should inform the people about the massive development activities of the government.

Islampur Upazila 7 Patharshi Union Awami League President and Chairman of Union Parishad Md Iftekhar Alam presided over the function while General Secretary of Union Awami League freedom fighter Md Abdul Bari (Lichu) conducted the function. Islampur Upazila Parishad Chairman Advocate SM Jamal Abdun Nasser, Islampur Upazila Awami League General Secretary Advocate Abdus Salam, Bir Muktijoddha Manikul Islam Manik also spoke at the meeting.
