Covid-19 identification among people is on rise in Chattogram. In the last 24 hours till Sunday afternoon, 550 people have been diagnosed with the coronavirus. Among the identified, 362 are residents of the city and 188 are residents of different Upazilas. However, no one died by Covid-19 in Chattogram city.
The total number of identities in Chattogram so far stood at 1 lakh 4 thousand 977 people. 76,194 of them are residents of the city. The remaining 28 thousand 783 are from different Upazilas. A total of 1,335 people have died so far. Of these, 725 are from the city. 610 people have died in different Upazilas.
A report released by the Chattogram Civil Surgeon's Office on Sunday revealed this information.
Civil Surgeon Dr. Mohammad Elias Chowdhury said that in the last 24 hours, samples of 1,983 people were tested in different labs in Chattogram and corona germs were detected in the bodies of 550 people. The infection rate was about 27.73 percent in contrast to the sample test.
He said, 15 people in Chattogram University Lab, 97 people in Fauzdarhat BITID Lab, 34 people in Chattogram Medical College Hospital Lab, 238 people in Antigen Test, 59 people in Chevron Hospital, 32 people in Chattogram Mother and Child Hospital Lab, 32 people in Epic Healthcare Lab. Coronary infections were detected in 3 people in Lab Aid Hospital Lab, 25 in Asian Specialized Hospital Lab and 15 in Shah Amanat International Airport Lab.
188 people were identified in the upazila. There are 41 in Hathazari, 27 in Rangunia, 20 in Fatikchhari, 19 in Patia, 19 in Boalkhali, 12 in Satkania, 12 in Satkania, 10 in Sitakunda, 9 in Chandnaish, 8 in Lohagara, 8 in Banshkhali and Raozan, 5 in Anwara and 4 in Mirsarai. John, Karnafuli and Sandwip were identified as 2 corona each.
