Some 52 liver specialists are offering telemedicine services using mobile during the coronavirus lockdown period.

The Forum for the Study of The Liver Bangladesh said they started the service on May 2 with 30 doctors with a slogal ‘our liver, our responsibility’. On Thursday, 22 more added to their list.

“We are offering this service considering the present situation since people cannot come out of home due to shutdown,” Prof Mamum Al Mahtab Shwapnil, chairman of the Forum said.

He is also the chairman of the BSMMU Liver department.

Ekushey Padak Recipient Shaheedjaya Shyamoli Nasreen Chowdhury is the Honorary Chairman of the Forum.

The detail list is available in the facebook pages of 'Liver Forum' and 'Liver Care and Research Center, Bangladesh'.

The doctors in rotation will provide the service every day between 3pm and 4pm.
