Bangladesh recorded 51 new infections in 24 hours till 8am Sunday taking the total number of people infected to 1,952,326.
In the meantime, the country registered no death from Covid-19 yet again. The total number of deaths remains at 29,124, according to a press release issued by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) on Sunday.
The current positivity rate stands 1.04 percent and the overall positivity rate stands at 14.02 percent.
In addition, the death rate now stands at 1.49 percent in the country, added the release.
A total of 4,896 samples were tested across the country till 8am Sunday.
Some 326 Covid-19 patients have recovered during this period. A total of 1,890,842 people have recovered from the virus so far and the recovery rate stands at 96.85 percent.
As of Sunday, 6,222,359 people died of Covid-19 across the world and 504,421,345 have been infected so far, according to Worldometer.
