Fifty-one meritorious students of different departments under different faculties of Comilla University received the Dean’s Award for the first time for their outstanding academic performances in the Bachelor and Masters examinations.
They were distributed the crests and certificate at a function held at the campus on Sunday.
While addressing the function virtually, the University Vice Chancellor and chief guest of the event Professor Dr Emran Kabir Chowdhury urged the students to drive themselves with the combination of merit, truthfulness, patriotism and honesty to become entrepreneurs for developing the country’s socio-economic condition.
Pro Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Md. Humayun Kabir, Treasurer Professor Md. Asaduzzaman, Social Science Faculty dean Muha. Aminul Islam Akand and Registrar (additional in-charge) Professor. Md. Abu Taher attended the award giving ceremony as the chief guest while Award sub-committee convener Prof. Sheikh Makshedur Rahman presided.
