The health department has examined the bodies of 5000 foreign travelers for highly dangerous Coronavirus in fourteen days at the Benapole Check post Police Immigration. However, excluding Indian travelers, the check-up of 171 foreign passengers has been completed. The Department of Health has ordered the examination of all foreign travelers arriving from India at the Benapole Check post Immigration to prevent the Corona virus from entering the country. The travelers are citizens of countries like America, Canada, Germany, UK, China and France.

Meanwhile, the rapid spreading of the virus has caused panic among Bangladeshis who frequently visit India. Every day, 8 to 10 thousand people use the Benapole International land check post. About 12 percent of them are foreigners.

Health Officer Dr. Pronoy Kumar Sarkar said that health workers have tested the 5000 foreign people at the Benapole Immigration in the last fourteen days from January 17 to January 31. However, no one was found infected with the virus.

Meanwhile, many people have been terrified of traveling to India as the virus spread to India. No one is going to India except for urgent matters. Travelers thanked the advance corona virus checkup system in immigration to prevent the virus.

The medical officer of Benapole Immigration Health Centre, Dr. Bichitra Mallick, said no trace of the virus have been found till now. Foreigners are allowed to enter the country only after being examined. It would be better if the work force were increased to some extent.

Benapole Customs Superintendent Rafiqul Islam said those coming from India are cooperating with health check-ups. The risk of transmission of the virus at the border is high because of the foreign travelers. The dangerous coronavirus first appeared in China on January 15. At present, the virus has spread to fourteen countries including India too.
