The railway authorities have evicted about 500 illegal establishments beside the rail tracks at Noapara under Abhaynagar upazila in Jashore. The railway authorities carried out the eviction drive on Monday.
Earlier, railway authorities asked the grabbers to remove their establishments from the property of railway and issued a timeframe in this regard. Later, the authorities concerned conducted the drive.
High officials of the railway and police were present at the daylong drive. Md Nuruzzman, an official of the railway, said that they would continue the eviction drive.
