A five-day honey, handicraft and cottage industry fair begins today (Sunday) on the premises of the Bangladesh Small and Cottage Industries Corporation (BSCIC) in Dhaka city's Motijheel area.
The BSCIC arranged the fair to help create market for different types of honey and handicraft products which will be on display and sale during the fair. The fair will be held from January 3 to 7, said a BSCIC press release on Saturday.
Around 61 honey, small and cottage industry entrepreneurs are expected to participate the fair with a variety of products. BSCIC Chairman Mustaque Hassan has urged all including the entrepreneurs and visitors to visit the fair maintaining health guidelines. He said entrepreneurs of micro, small, cottage and medium are among the worst affected due to Covid-19 and BSCIC is organising the fair as part of its 'Mujib Barsha' programme.
so that they could overcome their losses.
The fair will remain open for visitors from 10am to 5pm everyday till January 7.
