Like every year, Rajbari district Awami League general secretary Kazi Iradat Ali has given 5,000 blankets to the cold-stricken and helpless people of 14 unions of Sadar upazila at his own expense.
Kazi Iradat Ali handed over blankets to the presidents and general secretaries of 14 unions in Sadar upazila from the district Awami League office on Tuesday (February 2).
At this time, Sadar Upazila Awami League President Md Ramzan Ali, Rajbari Municipal Awami League General Secretary Shafiqul Islam Shafi, District Chhatra League General Secretary Saiful Islam Ershad, Union Awami League President and General Secretary were present along with other leaders and workers.
Before distributing the blankets, Kazi Iradat Ali, general secretary of the district Awami League, said, "If we are well-organized, our government will be well-organized. Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has systematized the party.” He also said, “We are the workers of Bangabandhu. We want all the leaders to stand collectively by the helpless people by putting the party in front. Therefore, today I started distributing these blankets.”
Some of those who have worked in the past from grassroots to build the leadership in the future in order to strengthen the trend of democracy through votes have won and some have lost. “I would like to request the president-general secretary of all the union Awami League and the president-general secretary of the ward not to reject them but hold them close to the heart and create opportunities for their participation in every work. And if anyone is left out of the committee, then adjustments should be made. Some are creating disintegration in the group. Not everyone should be conscienceless.”
He further said, “Therefore, I would like to say that everyone who has acted as a soldier of Bangabandhu and developed the programs and activities of the people's leader Sheikh Hasina along with all the leaders and workers of our district Awami League-Thana, Awami League-Union, will continue to work collectively in the service of humanity at grassroots level.”
