The 46th death anniversary of the oppressed public leader Maulana Abdul Hamid Khan Bhasani is celebrated at Tangail through various programs with respect and love.
On Thursday morning, Professor Dr Farhad Hossain (Vice-Chancellor, Maulana Bhasani University of Science and Technology), along with Professor Dr ARM Solaiman (Pro-Vice Chancellor), Deans, Registrars, Proctor, Teachers, Officers, Staff and Students presented wreaths from the university family.
Apart from this, on the occasion of Maulana Bhasani's death anniversary, District Awami League, BNP, Japa and various political, socio-cultural organizations offered wreaths too. Devotees and disciples of Maulana Bhasani came to Satosh for a few days ago. People flocked to the shrine of the oppressed public leader Abdul Hamid Khan Bhasani since dawn.
It is to be noted that it is the 46th death anniversary of Awami Muslim League's founding president Mazlum public leader Maulana Abdul Hamid Khan Bhasani.
On this day in 1976, he died while under going treatment at Dhaka's PG Hospital (presently Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University). Later he was put to eternal sleep with pleasure at Santosh of Tangail.
