The Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) in different operations in the 24 hours till 6:00 am Sunday (August 6) arrested 46 people from different areas in the city for their alleged involvement in selling and consuming drugs.
On information, the DMP’s police and detective units conducted the anti-drug campaign in the city and seized drugs and arrested drug sellers and abusers, said a DMP statement.
They seized 7,813 pieces of Yaba tablets, 53.902kg hemp, 45.2gm heroin, and 10 bottles of Phensedyl.
According to the statement, a total of 32 cases have been filed against the detained persons under the Narcotics Control Act.
