The Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) in different operations in 24 hours till 6:00 am on Saturday (September 16) arrested 45 persons for their alleged involvement in selling and consuming drugs.
Being informed, the DMP’s police and detective units conducted the anti-drug campaign in the city’s various areas, seizing drugs and arresting drug sellers and abusers, according to a DMP statement.
They seized 13,948 pieces of Yaba tablets, 2.344kg of hemp, 152gm of heroin, and 14 pieces of injectable drugs from their possessions, according to the statement. According to the statement, 31 cases were filed against the detained persons under the Narcotics Control Act.
