The Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) in different operations in the 24 hours till 6:00 am Monday (July 17) detained 43 persons for their alleged involvement in selling and consuming drugs.
Being informed, the DMP’s police and detective units conducted the anti-drug campaign in the city’s various areas, seizing drugs and arresting drug sellers and abusers, said a DMP statement.
They seized 1,886 pieces of Yaba tablets, 23.152kg of hemp, and 195.7gm heroin from their possessions, the statement said.
According to the statement, 33 cases were filed against the detained persons under the Narcotics Control Act.
