Forty-three diploma engineers have got jobs at a job fair organised by Mymensingh Polytechnic Institute on its campus on Tuesday.
Mymensingh Polytechnic Institute arranged the fair to observe the Technical and Vocational Education Week 2024. The theme of the education week is 'Smart Shikkha Smart Desh, Sheikh Hasina's Bangladesh'.
Mymensingh Divisional Commissioner Umme Salma Tanjia was present as the chief guest in the programme while Mymensingh Polytechnic Institute Principal Md Shawkat Hossain chaired the event at Hotel Field.
Principal Md Shawkat Hossain said job applications of a total of 2,543 diploma engineers have received for jobs in 38 companies. Of them, 43 job-seekers have got appointment letters at the fair. More diploma engineers, who have submitted applications, will get jobs, he said.
