Twenty five meritorious students of different departments of Dhaka University (DU) were awarded “IFIC Bank research grants” for conducting research while fifteen other students were conferred scholarship for their academic performances, reports BSS.
DU Vice-Chancellor (VC) Prof Dr Md Akhtaruzzaman distributed research grants and scholarships among the students at a function on Thursday held at Nabab Nawab Ali Chowdhury Senate Bhaban of the university.
DU Earth and Environmental Sciences Faculty Dean Prof Dr ASM Maksud Kamal, Managing Director and CEO of IFIC Bank Shah A Sarwar, DU Banking and Insurance Department Chairman Prof Dr Md Main Uddin and DU Senate Member Ramendu Majumdar, addressed the programme with DU Treasurer Prof Dr Md Kamal Uddin in the chair. While addressing, Prof Akhtaruzzaman urged the recipients of research grants to conduct fruitful research for achieving sustainable development goals.
