The detective branch police men in Jhenidah have arrested four miscreants for their alleged involvement in cheating people including capturing nude video of house wife in the town. The gang of four youths was arrested from Chaklapara and some other areas of Jhenidah Sadar upazila.
The arrested four were Sunny Munshi, 23, son of late Harun Munshi, Shaon, 24, son of Ishaque Ali, Maruf Billah, 25, son of Nurul Amin and Sohan, son of Suruj Ali. They all belong to Chaklapara area of the municipal town.
The affected family members had expressed their great satisfaction over the instant drive and arresting them by the detective branch police men as directed by Jhenidah police super.
Superintendent of police (SP) in Jhenidah Hasanuzzaman said a woman on Thursday complained that some four young men had entered her house when she opened the door to receive the vegetables that her husband sent through one of their helping hand in the evening of June 18 last.
The four had captured her nude photo placing their helping hand with a number of smart phones. They had tortured her when she had protested. They miscreants also tried to violate her time and again confining her school going daughter in another room of the house.
The miscreants had demanded a sum of ransom to hand over the nude video time and again otherwise, release the same on internet instantly. As they were threatening continuously, the woman met with SP Hasanuzzaman and submitted a written complaint following the incident.
The police man said they have been showing zero tolerance to the miscreants involved in any evil doing including blackmailing the women. If this sort of criminals are punished by the courts, could not be involved in any crime in future which will help establish peace in the locality, Hasanuzzaman said.
When contacted the affected house owner had expressed his reaction. He said this sort of police action against the growing hoodlums as directed by police super will discourage crime and ensure peace for the commoners in the area.
