4 teenagers in Lakshmipur go missing

Four teenagers from the same village have gone missing in Lakshmipur district. The missing are all teenagers aged 12 to 14. Families of these teenagers filed a general diary at Kamalnagar police station on Saturday night. Earlier, they all went out together to visit a teenager's grandfather's house and did not return home, relatives said. As a result, their families and relatives are spending their days in extreme anxiety and worry.

General diary sources and police said, a resident of the local Charabasu village, Ibrahim's daughter Jobaida Akhter, Joynal Abdin's daughter Mitu Akhter (cousins), Abul Khair Chunnu's daughter Simu Akhter and Md. Shamsul Alam's daughter Samia Akhter Niha (cousins) gathered at their house. Later on Saturday at around 8:30 am, they left the house to go to Nihar's grandparent’s house in Andar Char village of Noakhali district. After not finding them in different places, a woman named Aklima filed a general diary at the police station on behalf of the family. Expressing fear of murder, disappearance and trafficking of missing teenagers in this incident, the families and relatives said that they are spending their days in extreme anxiety. The locals along with their families urged the concerned government department to get them back to safety as soon as possible.

Kamalnagar Police Officer-in-Charge (OC) Solaiman said a general diary of four missing girls has been kept. Police are continuing their rescue operation including investigation of the incident.
