Four meritorious students from Jatiya Kabi KAZI Nazrul Islam University (JKKNIU) are getting the Prime Minister Gold Medal award this year.
Director of the University Grant Commission (UGC) Omar Farrukh has confirmed the matter through a notification.
The JKKNIU students are Sajon Saha from Dept of Human Resource Management, Tasnova Sharmin (CGPA 3.94) from Dept of Fine Arts, Mahnuma Rahman Rinty (CGPA 3.81) from Dept of CSE, Tanjil Ahmed(CGPA 3.89) from Dept of Public Administration and Governance Studies. They will receive the awards from Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina at the upcoming PM Gold Medal giving ceremony.
Prime Minister Gold Medal was introduced in 2005 as an effort to motivate the talented private and public university students of the country.
