Four little heroes of Chatmohar in Pabna have repaired a railway side ditch on their own initiative to protect the trains running on the Dhaka-Rajshahi route from accidents.

Chatmohar Upazila Parishad Chairman Abdul Hamid Master hosted a reception and rewarded four little heroes at the Upazila Parishad auditorium on Saturday noon.

The little children were identified as Sumon, son of Kurban Ali of Shukarbhanga village, a Class-4 student, Masum Rana, son of Abu Bakkar Siddiqui, a Class-3 student, Niloy Hossain, son of Bablu Hossain, a Class-3 student and Siam Hossain, son of Makkel Ali, a Class-5 student of Shibakhali village. It is learned that on the Dhaka-Rajshahi railway, a large hole was recently created in the Shukarbhanga area on the east side of Guakhra station at Chatmohar in Pabna due to the removal of the railway line.

When the news was published in the Facebook group named Chetonai Chatmohar on June 6, it caused a great stir. The children were greeted for their good deeds by all.

Chatmohar Upazila Parishad Chairman Abdul Hamid Master, Zilla Parishad Member Helal Uddin, Dr. Golzar Hossain, Former Chairman Abul Kashem, Rakibur Rahman Tukun, Helalur Rahman Jewel, Upazila Puja Celebration Committee General Secretary Prabir Dutta Chaitanya spoke at the time.
