At least four people were killed in a head-on collision between a bus and a pickup van at Madhupur in Tangail in the early hours of Tuesday.
The victims included the pickup's driver, his assistant, and their two passengers. Their identities are yet to be confirmed.
Madhupur Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Emranul Kabir said, the accident occurred on the regional road in the Malauri area of Madhupur municipal town.
Sub-Inspector Dulal Mia said the four were killed on the spot when a Dhaka-bound Binimoy Paribahan bus from Dhanbari collided with the pickup coming from the opposite direction.
The bodies of the deceased will be handed over to their families after the legal procedures, he added.
