4 held with Phensidyl

BGB members arrested four drug dealers with 1,500 bottles of Phensidyl from the Sadipur border in Benapole Port police station on Sunday morning.

 Lt. Col. Selim Reza, Commanding Officer, 49 BGB Battalion, said that a large quantity of Phensidyl from India was smuggled across the Sadipur border to Dhaka.

After receiving such secret information, a BGB patrol team raided the Sadipur border and arrested four drug dealers along with 1500 bottles of Phensidyl. 

The arrestees are Md Mizanur Rahman, 29, son of Kashem Ali of Sadipur village, Zahidul Islam, 25, son of Afsar Gazi of the same village, Mizanur Rahman, 30, son of Nur Islam and Mohan Khalashi, 25, son of Siraj Khalashi of Bara Achra village.

The BGB said the value of the seized phencidyl was Tk 12 lakh. A case has been registered in this regard at Benapole Port Police Station.The detainees were handed over to Benapole Port Police Station.
