4 held with huge Yaba in Savar

Detective Branch (North) of Dhaka Zila Police have arrested four including a woman with 1750 pcs of Yaba tablet by conducting separate drives in Ashulia of Savar, on outskirts of the capital on Tuesday.

The arrestees were identified as Badal Mia alias Milon, 28, Md. Abdul Kadir, 34, Bakul Begum, 52, and her son Tuhin Sarder, 24. All are hailed from different area of country.

Mohammad Abul Bashar, officer-in-charge of DB (North) confirmed the matter. He said, “a team of DB Police led by Sub-inspector Kausar Sultan, conducted a drive, based on secret information at Niribili Area in Ashulia on early Tuesday and arrested Bakul Begum and his son Tuhin Sarder. After searched, police recovered 1500 pcs of Yaba and 770 Puria of Heroin.

On other hand, another team of DB police Led by Sub-inspector Mohammad Goni, conducted a drive at Kathgara area in Ashulia on early Tuesday and arrested Badal Mia alias Milon and Abdul Kadir. Later, police recovered 250 pcs of Yaba tablet from them.

Two separate cases were filed with Ashulia Police Station over the incidents and All arrested were produced before a Dhaka court on Tuesday morning, added the OC.
