Four fresh Covid-19 cases were diagnosed and 27 more patients healed during the last 24 hours ending at 8 am on Wednesday in Rangpur division. Health officials said the four new Covid-19 positive cases were reported after testing 31 new samples at the positivity rate of 12.90 percent.
"The total number of Covid-19 patients rose to 64,903 in the division," said Divisional Deputy Director (Health) Dr Habibur Rahman. The number of recovered Covid-19 patients rose to 63,549 with the healing of 27 more patients during the last 24 hours in the division.
The number of casualties remained steady at 1,291 as no new death was reported during the last 24 hours. Meanwhile, more 1,08,576 doses of Covid-19 jabs were administered as the first, second and booster doses on Tuesday raising the number of inoculated vaccines to three crore 29 lakh 15 thousand and 524 doses in the division.
Among the administered Covid-19 jabs on Tuesday, 1,01,840 children got the jabs as the first doses on the first day of the vaccination campaign launched for children aged 5-11 years.
"Among the total administered Covid-19 jabs so far, 1,38,25,354 doses were inoculated as the first doses, 1,32,52,417 as the second doses and 58,37,753 as the booster doses," Dr Rahman said.
