4-day training for trainers of public procurement begins

A four-day Training of Trainers (ToT) course for the national trainers on public procurement has started at Six Seasons Hotel in Dhaka on Tuesday.

On behalf of the Central Procurement Technical Unit (CPTU) of Implementation Monitoring and Evaluation Division, Ministry of Planning, ITCILO (International Training Centre ILO) organised the training under the Digitizing Implementation Monitoring and Public Procurement Project (DIMAPPP). This will conclude on Sunday (July 7, 2019).

The ITCILO, the Capacity Development & Professionalization (CDP) consultant of the CPTU under DIMAPPP, is implementing the CDP programme and facilitating and managing the training course.

Md. Ali Noor, Director General (Additional Secretary) of CPTU, while inaugurating the training as the chief guest said, the objective of this ToT is to enhance skills of the trainers further and orient them with the latest techniques of providing training and the best practices of facilitation and learning.

Team Leader of ITCILO Richard Lorenz, Deputy Team Leader Wasim Jabber, Facilitator Federico Milano and Director (Training and Coordination) of CPTU Shish Haider Chowdhury spoke in the inaugural session.

The ToT has been organised for 20 national trainers. There are a total of 59 national procurement trainers in the country. ToT for the rest of the trainers will be organised later.
