A total of 4 people were reported dead by Covid-19 in last 24 hours at Gopalganj district. 58 people were also found Covid-19 positive after being tested, Gopalganj Civil Surgeon confirmed.
Civil Surgeon Dr Sujat Ahmed said that 58 out of 229 patients were tested positive in the district on Thursday. All the tests were carried out by the RT PCR machine installed in the district.
Meanwhile, strict lockdown is ongoing at Gopalganj district imposed by district administration authorities. Law enforcement members and district administration authorities jointly are currently trying to impose the lockdown. On the other hand, Gopalganj Deputy Commissioner Shahida Sultana despite being infected by Covid-19 for 2 times, monitoring the overall lockdown situation and coordinating with other officials. District magistrate has published a public order of following health rules. District Information Office is constantly spreading the Covid-19 related information across the district.
Gopalganj Sadar UNO Rashedur Rahman, Assistant Commissioner Farzana Bobi Mitu, Gopalganj Sadar Police Station OC Monirul Islam are jointly conducting raids in markets and public places at the municipal area. Despite all the sincere effort, people hardly followed the rules. Many people were seen outside without masks. Health experts thus advised Gopalganj district administration to impose strict lockdown regulation to prevent the spread of Covid-19 infection.
Deputy Commissioner Shahida Sultana urged the people of Gopalganj town to maintain heath rules. She also advised people to seek help from district administration during emergency. Urging everyone to wear masks, DC also advised people to stay in their houses during the lockdown.
