Four rape victim children were admitted at the One Stop Crisis Center of the Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) in the capital. Evidences of rape were primarily found after conducting necessary diagnosis.
DMCH Director Brigadier General AKM Nasir Uddin said this while briefing journalists on Saturday.
He said evidence of rape in the cases of child victims of both Kamrangirchar and Sobujbag were primarily found. Conditions of the victims were improving, he added.
“It’s social degradation. Now child and physically challenged women are also being raped and such incidents are increasing. We must take multiple measures to stope these incidents,” he said.
On Saturday, two female garment workers of Rampura area of the city were admitted at DMCH after being raped on Friday night.
According to Sub-Inspector Akteruzzaman Munshi of Rampura Police Station, among the two rape victims, one is 19 and another is 18. Police arrested one Mushfiqul Alam, 38, in this connection. On January 9, a teenage girl was raped. She was admitted at DMCH on January 10. On the same night, another teenage girl was raped. She was admitted to hospital on Saturday morning.
